Soap Shower Dish
When remodeling your bathroom, remember, a shower soap dish is a great way to help keep your shampoos and conditioner bottles organized and change the look of the bathroom. A variety of shampoo soap dish are available like counter sunk shower niches, ordinary soap dishes and there are many choices available. Countersunk shower niches are a step or two beyond that of an ordinary shower soap dish. Shower niches are great because they don't take up a lot of space.
They are water proof and strong. They install between studs in your shower wall and are already the correct depth for easy mounting. They don't only give your shower a unique look and ability to store large amounts of bottles and shower accessories easily. The first thing to do is find a soap dish that will fit in the place of a tile to be removed. The best place to install a soap dish is below the shower head (about three to four tiles) and to the right or left a little (another two or three tiles.)
Once you have figured out where you want to put your soap dish, remove the grout from around the tile using a grout saw and a hammer and a nail set, tap a series of holes in the tile.
Use these holes to guide your drill and remove all pieces of the broken tile and scrape clean to prepare a clean surface to install the shower dish. Then, spread a thin layer of adhesive to the wall and to the back of the shower dish using a knife. Finally, press the soap shower dish into place and tape it down with a few strips of masking tape. Let this set for 24 hours before applying grout to fill the joints. Once the grout has been applied, wait another 24 hours before using the shower.
